French for Kids with Kristen FowlerSaturday, September 25, 10-10:30 AM Zoom FREE eventKristen Fowler is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in French Studies. She had the honor of attending a three-week intensive program at the Université Grenoble Alpes in 2019. She stays in touch with her former host family to this day and has plans to visit them once the pandemic is over. She began formally learning French in the eighth grade but has always had a strong love and interest in the language and culture since childhood. With familial ties to both France and the former French colony Louisiana, she is very excited to help spread the beloved language of her ancestors. Kristen speaks Louisiana French and English at home with her Cajun fiancé and their pet dog, Henley, who is lovingly nicknamed “Pas Bon.”
This class is suited for small children aged 3-7 years. Kristen will teach the children basic greetings in French and how to introduce themselves in French. With Kristen's playful approach to the lesson, your child will discover that learning French is fun. No prior language knowledge is needed. Given the young age of the children, a parent's presence is encouraged.
