Schedule for Summer Full-Term Classes (8 weeks)*

Please note : Class sessions are 2 hours per week. Cost is ​$17.50/hour
Total Cost for 8 weeks session : $280 (16 hours)
*A1.3B and C : Total Cost for 4 weeks session : $140 (8 hours)​
Classes may or may not go forward at the group price depending on student numbers for each class

Thursdays June 9 - July 28  6:00-8:00pm
​Through a variety of activities that involve reading, writing, speaking and listening, students will discover basic French communication skills. They will be able to present themselves, hold a simple conversation in the present tense. Vocabulary themes include greetings, days of the week and month, family members, professions, classroom objects, personal identity, dining and Parisian activities. Culture will be also an integral part of this course to enhance understanding and appreciation of the French speaking world. ​

Continuation : Beginning French A1 level 2
Wednesdays June 8 - July 27  6:00-8:00pm 
Through a variety of activities that involve reading, writing, speaking and listening, students will discover basic French communication skills. They will be able to present themselves, hold a simple conversation in the present tense. Vocabulary themes include going out for events, dining at a restaurant, meals and food items, directions, clothing and shopping, and Parisian activities. Culture will be also an integral part of this course to enhance understanding and appreciation of the French speaking world. ​

Note that all classes are based on the "Common Reference Levels" defined by the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages" (CEFR). 
Textbooks
The "Methode de Francais" book and the "Cahier d'Activites" exercise book can be purchased on Amazon.
The materials for all classes are available as eBooks for the convenience of our students -thanks to the publisher

The Face to Face classes take place in a classroom at the AFJ office (address at the bottom of the page).
The Virtual classes use ZOOM.
