Christelle Tsalefac
Born and raised in Cameroon, a French-speaking country, Christelle Tsalefac Tedom holds two Master’s degree in economics and finance from the University of Dschang. During each of his Master's thesis the juries already recognized her aptitudes in the field of teaching through her pres On the professional side, Christelle worked from 2011-2018 for Elections Cameroon, the organism in charge of the supervision and management of the electoral process in her country where she was successively administrative and financial manager, then research analyst in the division of communication and public relations where she had among other functions, the cap of radio presenter of the program linked to the electoral process for the French version. In 2018, she decided to join her husband in the United States where she professionally changed direction and dedicated herself to teaching the French language. She then joined the Alliance Française in Jacksonville and participated in teacher’s training sessions at the FSCJ. She has been working since 2018 as a teacher for adult adolescents and toddlers, all levels. she is passionate about music, cuisine and culture. Yasmina Etique "Bonjour! My name is Yasmina Etique and I am coming from Switzerland! Born in Morocco, I travelled around the world, and lived in several countries before returning to the US. I consider myself a citizen of the world rather than a Swiss citizen. French is one of my mother tongues and I have a real passion for it. I fell in love with French Literature very young and can’t seem to be able to pass by a classical or modern French book without opening it:) I got my Master degree in International Relations in Geneva, my MBA in the US and I managed projects in Nonprofit for several years. I was also a translator and French teacher in the various countries I lived in. Among others, I taught French to refugees and adolescents in Geneva, school students in France, business customers in Miami, French immersion students in Toronto and the most difficult task to my five children. I am excited to join the multicultural team of teachers at the Alliance Française and transmit my passion for French. Therefore, I love to customize my classes to the needs of my students. I will add more fun and educational activities for the kids, a touch of oral practice and grammar for the adults, more conversation and exchange for students eager to hone their communication skills, as well as a load of business terms and culture for my corporate students. Farah Barake
"Coucou!! My name is Farah and I am originally from Lebanon. My Arabic name means the joy and you will definitely enjoy your French class with us at the Alliance Française de Jacksonville. This is my second year at Jacksonville where I currently teach at Episcopal School of Jacksonville all the French levels from beginner to the AP class. Before Jacksonville, I lived 4 years in Michigan where I taught at Cranbrook schools and at the University of Michigan. In Lebanon, I worked as French coördinator and DELF reader for 15 years. I got my masters degree from Saint-Joseph University in French literature from Lebanon as well! As you see, I am a combination of Arabic roots with a French background blended with some American vision! Et voilà!" Sara Kunz Sara Kunz grew up in the French speaking area of Switzerland. Her mother tongue is French, she is fluent in Italian, German, Spanish and English. She is currently taking classes to obtain a BA in Spanish with a minor in European languages. Before Jacksonville, Sara has lived and worked in Switzerland (French & German area), France, West Africa, Ecuador. She loves to teach languages through original and practical ways. She has taught elementary age children, teenagers, and adults. She enjoys reading, biking, and gardening. Her favorite French novel is « La Vie devant Soi » by Romain Gary. Marco Garcia Marco Garcia is a native Floridian who grew up in Jacksonville. Marco attended Florida State University and holds a bachelors degree in French Language and Literature. Over the years he has spent time abroad in France studying the language and culture. He additionally taught English abroad in France and South Korea after receiving his undergraduate degree. Marco has a passion for empowering others in their language journey, promoting cultural immersion as an effective way to improve language skills. He received his master’s degree at Jacksonville University and currently works as a speech-language pathologist for a local rehabilitation hospital. |
