Belgian Cooking Class
Friday October 23rd at 5 PM
Alliance Française de Jacksonville Zoom Cooking
Goedendag, Bonjour, Guten Tag! Welcome to a Belgian kitchen! Local Belgian Sofie is happy to introduce you to the ultimate comfort food, and her family's favorite: Flemish stew (Carbonades flamandes)! But this is no regular stew, this stew simmers in beer and will fill your kitchen with the ambiance of cozy Belgium. Ready to get cooking?
This zoom call will be more than just a cooking class; it’s also an exploration of Belgium, Belgian culinary habits and of course beer. We will share great cooking techniques and teach you how to achieve the optimum flavor out of this Stew! The beer is also not just for the Stew, we will send you the names of some amazing Belgian beers that you can enjoy whilst cooking. When the Flemish Stew is cooking, we'll also make a typical Belgian dessert called Carré Confiture which involves some artistic creativity with puff pastry!
Are you craving Flemish Stew already? Confirm your participation on the link below and we will send you a list of ingredients and beers to buy for the lesson.
Bon appétit/Smakelijk/Guten Appetit 🇧🇪
Please purchase a ticket for each person attending.
