​Virtual

Teens (12-17 years old) Here we focus on building students' core language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) all while deepening their knowledge of French and francophone cultures. It offers a ground foundation of the French language in terms of vocabulary and grammar and builds students’ speaking skills through interactive class activities and a task-based approach.  ​

Advanced Beginner - A2.1
Face to face or Virtual
preferred day can be arranged in consultation with all students
Teens (12-17 years old) ​Students improve their grammar and vocabulary through oral and written comprehension as well as speaking and writing exercises. They acquire the linguistic tools they will need to effectively communicate in a variety of contexts related to everyday life situations while they are exposed to aspects of the Francophone culture through French literature, artistic movements, distinctive regional traditions, and idiomatic expressions.​

Kids (9- 11 years old) ​Students continue building their confidence in communicating in French while they develop their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Culture and language are presented in a contextualized way to further students’ ability to talk about their life, family and friends.​

Kids (3-6 years old) ​In this course, students review vocabulary and phrases acquired in the previous level while they learn new ones about family, objects, shapes and nature. With catchy songs, little stories, crafts, games and activities students are entertained while they learn in a contextualized setting.  ​

Note that all classes are based on the "Common Reference Levels" defined by the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages" (CEFR). 
Textbooks
The "Methode de Francais" book and the "Cahier d'Activites" exercise book can be purchased on Amazon.
The materials for all classes are available as eBooks for the convenience of our students -thanks to the publisher

The Face to Face classes take place in a classroom at the AFJ office (address at the bottom of the page).
The Virtual classes use ZOOM.
