"Christophe MONNIOT has been noticed for a long time as one of the most fascinating
(and passionate) improviser musicians of the European Jazz stage. He equally proved his talent in the field of music
writing, composing whether for a large orchestra (one only needs to listen to the Jeune Peuple Orchestr'Alpes - JPOA
to be convinced) or for smaller groups like the trio OZONE or MONIOMANIA.
The saxo-composer, C. MONNIOT, manifests a definite taste for sharp, unexpected sound combinations. His rearranging
of The Four Seasons of Vivaldi for a classic quatuor of saxophonists was welcomed by critics.
For his present tour of festivals, Christophe MONNIOT, saxophones, created a
new association with Didier ITHURSARRY, accordeon, (who can also be heard at the Grand Angle in DANZAS from
Jean-Marie MACHADO), and Guillaume ROY, violin, alto, a rising player in the field of contemporary improvised
music.
