Let's go to the Opera together!About La Bohème: La bohème is an opera in four acts, composed by Giacomo Puccini between 1893 and 1895 to an Italian libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa, based on Scènes de la vie de bohème (1851) by Henri Murger. The story is set in Paris around 1830 and shows the Bohemian lifestyle (known in French as "la bohème") of a poor seamstress and her artist friends.
Love at first sight, young romance, starving artists, and a coming of age: a perfect recipe for one of the most beloved and beautiful tragedies ever written. Metropolitan Opera Stage Director Gregory Keller and Courtney Lewis bring opera back to Jacoby Symphony Hall in this Jacksonville Symphony production and spectacle of the season. Featuring a star-studded cast, Puccini’s lush melodies, and high Cs against a backdrop of 30-foot-tall projections. Brittany Merenda, projection designer Camala Pitts & Dorinda Quiles, costume designers Opera Ensemble from the University of North Florida Department of Music Students from LaVilla School of the Arts

Le livre pour la discussion du mois d'avril sera L'élégance du hérisson de Muriel Barbery.
L'Élégance du hérisson est le deuxième roman de Muriel Barbery, publié en 2006 chez Gallimard. Ce livre a remporté de nombreux prix littéraires, dont le Prix des libraires en 2007.
«Je m'appelle Renée, j'ai cinquante-quatre ans et je suis la concierge du 7 rue de Grenelle, un immeuble bourgeois. Je suis veuve, petite, laide, grassouillette, j'ai des oignons aux pieds et, à en croire certains matins auto-incommodants, une haleine de mammouth.
